Do I have to use a charcoal and wood mixture in the firebox?
No, you can easily use all charcoal or wood to cook you meals. We recommend the mixture of charcoal and wood because we feel it produces a better flavor, generates a more even heat, and lasts longer. The firebox is made of heavy gauge stainless steel and can withstand the heat generated by either wood or charcoal.

Why do you use porcelain coated grate instead of stainless steel or chromed steel?
Our porcelain coated grate is made in such a way that it fuses to the metal and creates a non-stick surface. It is also very durable. Stainless steel and chrome plated grates get so hot they cause delicate foods (chicken, shrimp, some steaks) to stick to the surface and burn. This eventually causes rust and corrosion. Porcelain being non-stick also makes it ideal for cleaning up.

How much assembly is required with the CharMasterUSA Tailgate grill?
Our Tailgate Grill comes fully assembled except for the front shelf. This is required for the shipping. The shelf and the fully assembled grill come with pre-drilled holes for easy assembly. After unpacking the grill use a regular screwdriver and attach the shelf with the 4 supplied stainless steel screws.

How do I empty the waste and clean the grill ?
Cleaning your Tailgate Charcoal Grill is easy. First let the grill cool down. Then empty the Ash Pan. If the coals are burned out, empty the firebox as well. Now you can wash the Porcelain Coated Grill with warm soap and water. Your clean up is done.

How much does the tailgate grill weigh and what are the overall dimensions?
The Tailgate Grill was designed to be portable. It weighs approximately 45lbs fully assembled and empty. It is built with sturdy handles on each end which makes it easy to carry.
The Tailgating Grill's overall dimensions are: 24" in length, 14" wide and 14" in height. The grilling surface is 22" x 12", that's 264 sq. inches of grilling space. The work shelf that attaches to the front is 5.5" wide and 22" in length. Our grill is very portable and can be moved around by one person.
Do NOT attempt to move this or any other charcoal grill with burning charcoal or while it is hot.

How long can I expect my new grill to last?
You can expect your new CharMasterUSA Grill to last a very long time. It is made with the best quality stainless steel available, built and assembled in the USA. There are no parts in the grill that will oxidize, rust or burn out as in conventional gas grills or other tailgate charcoal grills. When taken care of properly, this will most likely be the last charcoal grill you ever buy.

Do CharMasterUSA Grills have a warranty?
Your new CharMasterUSA Grill has a 2 year limited warranty on all parts and labor. This warranty covers all material against manufacturing defects and does not cover owner abuse such as dropping, mishandling or using the grill for non-intended purposes. The porcelain grate has a 2 year limited warranty. The stainless steel shelf attached to the front of the grill has a 2 year limited warranty. The wood shelf attached to the front of the grill has a 1 year warranty. This limited warranty extends to the original owner only.
Upgrade your warranty to a 7 year limited warranty for an additional $30.00
These 2 year and 7 year Warranties are for product replacement only.
Once customer return ships the product back to manufacturer, CharMasterUSA will pay to ship product back to customer.

Why does the CharMasterUSA Grill have no thermostat?
Thermostats are highly unreliable for high temperature charcoal grills. Our recommendation if you want to know what the temperature of you food is to use a thermostatic fork purchased at most hardware centers.
